A little explanation for those not familiar with the concept:
A fun-arsty-happy-mom from Australia (Practising Simplicity) started a project a couple years ago : "A portrait of my child (children), once a week, every week.." also known as the "52 project". The concept talks by itself. You take a photo of your child once a week and post it to your Blog, on Instagram (..) and join a fun community of Moms (& Dads!). Sounds easy enough right? But I feel like it might be more challenging than it seems at first. Because we all tend to do a million things a day I think it will be good to have a bit of discipline (me talking about discipline!!). Take some time to step back, breath, grab a camera whether it's a fancy one or an older cell, and capture a moment in time of our children. I mean yes, most of us take tons of pics of our babies, especially now with smartphones and all. But do we really take time to look at them, edit them in a way we love, how about being creative? We all agree days go by way too fast, weeks fly by, all in a sudden it's summer and I love the idea that by the time New year kicks-in I will (hopefully) be able to look back at this year through portraits of my baby.
Stocked to be able to jump in and be part of the 52 project this year.
Here it is. My first portrait.

(Catching up with the first 3 weeks of January.)
