Lately my man and I have been very randomly translating one of our French expressions into English: we'll say "bring your strawberry" which is a slang way to say "come over here". Why is this, I do not know, but I do love it.
Here are some of my favorite examples from the website's link, some are more slangs than others but really, we do say this!
-The French don’t tell you that “you’re grumpy”…they tell you that “you’re farting sideways” (Avoir un pet de travers).
-The French don’t tell you “to mind your own business”…they tell you “to deal with your own onions” (Occupe-toi de tes oignons).
-The French don’t “fuss about something”…they “make a whole cheese about it” (En faire tout un fromage). A cheese, of course!
-The French are not “big-headed”…they “fart higher than their ass is located” (Péter plus haut que son cul).
-French men don’t “sleep around”…they “dip their biscuit” (Tremper son biscuit).
It has me thinking....Are French People really that romantic?

And if you happen to travel to the city of light one day, go ahead and try and use some of these, you will probably gain some deep respect from my sometimes snobbish fellows, myself included.
