True, babies could not care less about what they are wearing. As long as it is comfy and as long as their mom don't freak out if their brand new outfit gets ruined in a day, they will be happy babies & toddlers. ("hey I'm new to this world, do you really expect me to use my napkin to wipe my mouth off..? Come on gimme a break Mom, mashed carrots are great for painting!").
Therefore I am not big on spending tons of money on my baby's clothes. And I love how relaxed I feel about him playing in the jungle dirt. BUT. There are those few kiddos' brands that truly manage to steal my heart every once in a while. And TRUE, it is the cutest thing to dress your baby up on some occasions. Especially when it comes to denims overalls. Lucky (!) Finch and Agnes is a brand from the Netherlands, it wouldn't make much sense to ship a piece of cloth all the way to Hawaii but for those of you in Europe, you might want to check them out. Yes I am winking at your mom, Milo boy.

On saturday was Unicorn day in the jungle of Maui. Celebrating Lilikoi turning 4.
Kiddos Birthdays are still pretty new for me. But how I love it. I do. Kids laughing out loud? Love it. Kids screaming all around? Awesome. Kids fighting for the piñata? awwww I want to hit it too! How about bouncing in the castle? Get out of here babies, MY turn! What...A unicorn cupcake...? Are you *** kidding me, lucky I have my doggy bag(s) (I am pretty sure they never noticed the 12ish missing cupcakes.)
Happy glimpse in our jungly lifestyle xx

I love making things, stuff, all kind. I love threading video footage together. I love sewing. I love baking. I love collecting (but try not to for the sake of my marriage). I love the endless possibilities my eyes & my hands offer when they team up. Having a baby is just another (really good) excuse to create more. No, a baby in your life does not leave you with much alone-time to seat behind your sewing machine, but it does teach you efficiency...Did I even knew the word before I became a mom? I thought I was being efficient, well no. I knew I wasn't the most efficient girl in the world. I'm a daydreamer kinda girl. I am. And I have to admit that I love it....daydreaming. But I am learning. My son is teaching me. I am learning to bake with a baby standing by me, high up on a stool, sticking his fingers in the melted chocolate if not in the butter (don't forget the boy has French blood running through his veins). I have learned to start my day around 6am on a Sunday. I am not saying I love it but I do it and most of the time I'll even smile about it. When you become a parent you supposedly loose about 40 days of sleep/year. 40 DAYS!!! Talk about being sleep deprived. But I like to think about how much awake-time I have gained! And instead of complaining about it, I want to try to make the best out of it. I want to have fun. More & more fun. I want to laugh everyday and I want my son to grow up loving loud laughs.
AND I would love to create a giraffe's head for him one day.

Do It.
