A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2016
A trip to the post office will keep your toddler entertained for at least half an hour, especially when blindly trying to find your box (deepest apology if you've caught him trying to open yours). Meanwhile your baby will have a good nap and I'm pretty sure we've brightened quite a few people's day commenting on the junk we get in our mailbox, cheering when there's a happy mail found in there and really just finding happiness in these under-rated moments in a day.
My portrait by my soon-to-be-three-years-old boy
I could be nice and hand him the camera with the focus on automatic rather than manual, I could. But then I might rather see my face slightly blurry as it's quite an appropriate representation of my mental and physical state at the moment. So blurry I walked out of the grocery store today...without my groceries I had paid for. I didn't leave the kids behind though so that's quite a victory. Thankful for the sweet lady who came running with the bag before we all jumped in the car.
Again, I have fallen one week behind in this weekly portrait project. The photos are taken but story time has been taking over personal editing time lately and frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way unless I start doing cocaine which isn't recommended when breastfeeding - gasp -
