A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2015
It comes with no surprise that Manech likes to be pulled around on a board. Though the standing position doesn't last long yet. Ha Baby!
This weekend has been a hectic one. I had big plans on working but a teething baby with fever on Saturday forced me to spend part of the day in bed with him, nursing and re-assuring him that he'd soon be feeling much better. It happened to be a good thing for me too. I have been throwing myself into work so hard lately that I rarely make it to bed before midnight (which is fine if you don't have a baby that will wake up at dawn's break), that I tend to skip lunch and I'll admit here that I am just not taking the best care of myself lately. So it came with no surprise that my energy had left my body for a moment. And when Manech's pain wasn't so bad that he'd jump out of bed, well I'd stay there, in bed. I had to rest. Once I was done editing a series of photo I had taken earlier this week, I decided I'd stay away from my computer for the rest of the week-end. It was tempting logging in to this blog and posting but even though discipline has been a mantra in my work life lately, I had to apply this mantra to my well-being. Especially when waking up on Sunday morning with a very very painful back. I could barely turn my head from right to left and thought "that's it, you've pushed your limits and you knew this was going to happen". Live and learn, live and learn again.
