A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2015.
When Manech wakes up in the morning, it's almost always too early for us. So we take him to bed with us hoping he might fall asleep for a few extra minutes. He usually doesn't. This morning was no exception. But I love what he did instead of kicking around to wake his lazy parents up. He went to his book shelf, grabbed a couple of his favorite books, climbed back to our bed, made his way in between both of us, sat comfortably resting his back against a pillow and started flipping pages and laughing. I can't think of a better way for us to wake up.
This picture was taken earlier this week as I was doing our bedding laundry. We don't have a tv, never have and don't want one. I am a book worm and love reading stories to him. Nothing can make me happier than having my kid grab my hand to go look at books. As I had finished loading the washer, I turned around to find him hugging his books. So happy I captured one of these moments. I love you my dear sweet little boy.
