A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2015.
We have a temporary home right now (we're safe until the end of April). It's pretty little. 2 rooms. Our bedroom happens to be the biggest room and we share it with Manech. It's quite funky, we had to clean it all up as there was probably close to 10 years worse of spider nets. But we love it now, truly love it. Love the large open space. Love the energy of the room and the volcano view. It came with a longboard. A couple longboards. And while my husband and I try to hold on to few more minutes of sleep in the morning, Manech goes for a ride (don't judge please). So far he would remain seated and push on his tiny legs as hard as he could, the faster the better..right! And we could hear him go back and forth. But for the first time this morning as I had just grabbed my camera he started squatting on the board and all in a sudden stood straight up. No need to say that my heartbeat went racing. We always try not to scare him whenever he does something that scares us. So I rushed quietly to him (after taking the shot....no comment!),and he amazed me. This little boy has such a good balance, he smiled at me and came back slowly to the secured-seated-mother-safe-position. Can't blame him as a coupe days ago, his father and I both had fun riding the longboard around the room, up on our feet...of course he wanted to give it a (successful) try!
